Hello, my name is Dash. I’ve been doing kink & BDSM for over 25 years. I got my start in flogging, and in the last 5 years, I moved into bondage. I’m a fisting top and a skilled hypnotist as well.

As one of the early sex-radical activist in the 1990s, I was part of all four Lusty Loft parties in the late ’90s and early 2000s—radical queer sex parties at an anarchist loft where attendees could record their own porn directly onto VHS tapes. Tristan Taormino described it in the Village Voice as “pure queer erotic utopia.” (It’s loosely credited as inspiration for Shortbus.)

After college, I moved to San Francisco, immersing myself in the Bay Area’s leather and BDSM scene. I learned sacred leathercare and bootblacking, attended Leather Levi Weekend, and was known as an active leatherboy and intense impact top, with a passion for transformative, cathartic play. I was also part of the faerie scene at the 14th Street House, attending naked yoga and numerous play parties.

I accidentally found my way into dominance, picking up a flogger in my late 20s and never looking back. Known for deep, intentional scenes, I honed a style that fused emotional and physical intensity.

I returned to NYC in 2010 and where I frequented New York Bondage Club and often was found around NYC with my floggers.

In 2022, I discovered Knotty NY—a fast-growing, all-gay bondage group that rekindled New York’s kink spirit. Knotty was a turning point, exposing me to rope bondage and shifting my dominant expression toward restraint rather than impact. This evolution as a rigger set the stage for my next chapter.

In 2024, I moved to Chicago, helping launch Chicago Chastity and later running for Chicago Leather Ambassador for Chicago Fetish Weekend. My performance piece, “You Are Enough,” explored submission as inner saboteur and, by rising above the voice of doubt, discovering myself a King. I closed with a quote from The Ethical Slut:

“The fundamental sexual unit is one person… The only thing in this world you can control is yourself. Only when you have a satisfying relationship with yourself will you have something of great worth to offer others.”

Since arriving in Chicago, I have attended or supported the Chicago Rubber Club, CCKC, Puddle Scouts, MAsT, and the Chicago Hellfire Club, where I was invited to speak on leather care. I created Windy City Knots, an informal bondage education group, and co-created Impact Thursday.

In April 2025, I taught my first major conference workshops at CLAW: Hypnokink 101 and Thinking Sex Again, a modern revisit of Gayle Rubin’s 1984 essay.

I bring a bold, switchy vision of BDSM rooted in anti-fascist, pro-feminist values and a spiritual curiosity.
